Category IV & V Fees
What Are Category IV & V Fees?
Category IV & V fees are approved and administered at the discretion of the president. Once a department submits a proposal for a Category IV or V fee, Financial Services works with the submitting Department to collect information to submit to the president for review.
- Category IV - Fees other than Category II or III
- Non-coursework materials, services, penalty, or use of services
- Examples of Category IV fees include Late Registration, Equipment Usage, Graduation Fees
- Category V - Fees for services associated with activities which cannot receive state funds, called self support programs
- These include the College of Continuing Education (CCE), Parking, and Housing

If your department wants to create e new fee or make adjustments to an existing Category IV or V fee, you will need to complete the "Category IV & V Fee Proposal", downloaded from the ABA FORMS page.
The fee proposal document contains:
- Fee Proposal Form - Presidential Review
- Rationale for the Fee
- Fee Revenue/Expense Projection Spreadsheet
