Homecoming

Homecoming is about celebrating the Hornet family and reconnecting. We are excited to bring the Hornet Family together again this fall. Hornets everywhere are invited to get involved in our mix of activities. Stingers up!

Homecoming Food Drive
Homecoming Food Drive
October 13-18

All donations benefit the ASI Food Pantry. in addition to food products. The foods we are seeking can be found here. Drop-off times will be Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Harper Alumni Center. Or at the Homecoming Festival on Saturday, October 18, from 3-6 p.m.

A series of photographs documenting the raw and unfiltered everyday life in the city. A body of work by Joseph Anderson. Exhibit dates: Sept. 23-Oct. 17.

Why We Vote
Exhibit Lounge, University Union | Sacramento State
Tuesday-Friday, 10 AM-4 PM

Our campus community’s visual representations of why we vote, participate in politics, and engage in our communities. This interactive exhibit asks viewers to consider others’ reasons and then share their own reasons for participating in politics and their communities. As a competition for the most popular representation, viewers vote for their favorite submission. Exhibit dates: Oct. 7-Nov. 7.

Don't Mind If I Do

Don’t mind if I do is an experiment in more deeply collaborative exhibition-making, demonstrating how even temporary changes in power structures create pathways of access. Grounded in a longtime fantasy of artist Finnegan Shannon, this project developed around a conveyor belt. Exhibit dates: Oct. 7-Nov. 7. Read more

Capistrano Concert Hall, Sacramento State

Our student Concert Band performs under the direction of Dr. Matthew Morse. The program will beature Claude t. Smith's "Emperata Overture", selections from "Wicked" by Stephen Schwartz, Robert Jager's "Third Suite", and Rossano Galante's "Mischievous Behavior."

P-Lo Concert
Thursday, Oct. 17, 7:30-9:30 p.m.
University Union Ballroom | Sacramento State

P-Lo is a Filipino-American rapper and producer from the San Francisco Bay Area, known for his energetic beats and catchy hooks that blend West Coast hip-hop with modern rap influences. Brought to you by UNIQUE, general public tickets are $33/person. The event is open to the public and all ages are welcome. No alcohol is sold or permitted at venue.

Rail to Trail Bike Ride
Friday, October 18, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Start at Peak Adventures, Sacramento State

Join bike expert Noah on a bike trip from ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ! Get to see some lovely autumn weather, meet some cool people, and learn how to traverse around the local trails and public transit system! Ride includes public transit tickets and bike guides. Bikes are also included, if needed.

Homecoming Aquatic Center

Sunset Paddle
Friday, October 18, 4:30-7:00 p.m.
¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ Aquatic Center, Lake Natoma

Come join us for a beautiful sunset on Lake Natoma and the rise of a full moon. Gently paddling on the waters of Lake Natoma serves as an escape from the rigors of the day. All paddling abilities are welcome. The kayaks are self-bailing so be prepared to get a little wet.

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ Aquatic Center, Lake Natoma

Join us for a stunning sunset stand up paddle on beautiful Lake Natoma. This is a chance to be out and paddling on the serene Lake Natoma after the chaos of the day. Our safety guide will accompany you out on the water and help bring you back on time.
